Good Grit Magazine is a lifestyle magazine that highlights southern culture. I created this one-page illustration to accompany a feature on SHORT, a children’s literacy initiative in Alabama. The story follows how two longtime friends turned a spark of concern into a statewide program that helps kids read while waiting in courtrooms, doctor’s offices, and beyond.
